Inside Youth Arts Collective

Video by Grace Khieu

Dear Friends of YAC,

We are pleased to tell you that we, here at YAC, are feeling quite hopeful. Since 2020 we stayed safe, ran the program remotely until reopening in person in June, but never once skipped a beat in our mentoring and mission. It wasn’t easy, but YAC is a twenty-one year old proven program that works. Even in a pandemic, apparently. We could not have done this without your support.

This Fall several YACsters happily headed off to their ‘away’ colleges which they couldn’t attend in person last year. We’ve been recruiting new, enthusiastic members to fill their spaces and join our core high school and local college YACsters. The studio is buzzing again!

In addition, we’ve added talented new mentors and assistants to our team. With them come new program offerings and opportunities for our YACsters — including new workshops, field trips, mural opportunities, etc.

There is a feeling of renewed joy in the studios, and a ton of art being created. See for yourself at our Holiday Show, which opens November 19. And help us celebrate these YACsters and their brighter futures.

Many of you have supported YAC over the years and have witnessed the results of your generosity. Please join us again this year, or for the first time, with a donation. It’s a terrific investment in these individuals and the culture of our community.

Wishing you a happy and healthy Holiday Season from our Board, Staff, and YACsters past & present.
